0 Alpha and Omega - Better off without 3D

Great feel-good movie which need not have been made in 3D. I say this because we're now spoilt for choice, and to make us fork out extra for something predictable with mediocre 3D imagery is just robbing kids blind.
It has a plot that won't go wrong, lines that appeal and a happy ending. The 'wow' factor is somehow missing here. There are no majestic visuals. I wish they had put more thought into animatic details.

I would save my money for 3D specials like Legend of the Guardians : The Owls of Ga'hoole or Avatar. Anything else is better off savoured in non-3D format and this is one of it.

Tickets courtesy of Cinema Online (love them so much), and check out their news section here - me, featured for the third time. Shows how much I enjoy the movies :)

0 Cheezels Biskitz - Mantra to happiness

2O1O With the birth of Cheezels Biskitz, the world of snackdom is never going to be the same.

I was recently blessed with a carton to savour on Merdeka Day ...and savour I did.

Three flavours graced my eager tongue - Chilli Cheese, Sour Cream & Cheese and Classic Cheese. Really love how the cheesy aroma wafted up my nose everytime I took a bite into the mini crunchy biscuit. It was easy to fall in love with it...am not one for bland stuff. Even the packaging works - cheerful colours which incidentally represent the Malaysian flag ♥ I feel... ..

The much awaited prize..looks like I got Chilli Cheese

Open sesame!

Hip hip hooray for 3 flavours!

Ohh..open it already!

A collector's item for sure (the packaging I mean)

Just awhile longer

Tadaaa..Cheezels Biskitz!

Colours of Malaysia

One for the album cos I love it so much

Have you seen the commercial? A lil cheesy (no pun intended) but I love those blue creatures called Chezzets. Wish they had it in soft toy form (a good idea to pitch to the Cheezels team). Marketing works...at least for me and I readily embrace my weakness. It's good, no?

0 Devil

Not a movie that makes you go 'wow' but intriguing nonetheless. Really gotta admire how they manage to keep us entertained with most of the movie minutes played out in the ill-fated lift.

Gist of story : The people in the lift starts dying off one by one ....a spoiler I am not.

0 Wall Street : Money Never Sleeps

A compelling drama starring Shia LaBeouf as Jake Moore, a broker trying to make it big in Wall Street.  Michael Douglas' role as Gordon Gekko, a man with less than desirable morals add  spice to an otherwise slow-paced movie.

The story centers around the pressures of family commitment, greed, revenge and betrayal. Amidst all these, is faith, that there is some good in all of us. Expect a happy ending.

Money is the root of all evil...isn't it? Or is it you and me?

0 Car Under Repair

..There goes my car ...

Maybe I shouldn't have driven through the mini flood caused by the rain, but who knew there were two along the same stretch! The car started to reverse against the tide. It floated a wee bit and panicked me broke the cardinal rule... "Do not change gear". Oh, that's exactly what this rebel did to pull free. It worked, to the detriment of the car. This was in July.

Soon after, the squeaking started, the hazard lights went kaput, the radio acted up and the air-con was literally dancing to Katy Perry's "You're hot then you're cold".

I can hear my mechanic humming, "Ka-ching..Ka-ching $$$, she's back at the workshop again".

I took the liberty to check out what's new in the market after the first sign of car trouble. On a measly budget, the furthest I could look was the newly released Myvi Limited Edition - a certified chick car. Love it!

Dazzling Red (looks a little pink to me)

This babe costs RM50k+- (not the girl inside, you!)

Specs: ..what specs???
Verdict: Awesome.

0 Resident Evil : Afterlife (3D)

Can't believe I spent my Raya holidays in the cinema. That's what you do when all your friends have "balik kampung".

I've never watched the earlier instalments of Resident Evil, but was tempted to do so after seeing a movie poster of Ali Larter and Milla Jovovich standing together, looking hot in battle stance. ..shows how easily I'm bought over. I should give myself a smack in the head.

It was worth the money, hey. 3D action has never looked better after flops like "Clash of the Titans" and "The Last Airbender".

Was there a story in there somewhere? Wham bam..shoot the zombies, save the last remaining humankind.  And did they just leave the ending open for another sequel? Aww...I don't remember. I was so caught up with Ali and Milla's slick moves, that I didn't notice much else.  For whatever reason, I enjoyed this flick tremendously. I look forward to catching up.

0 Piranha..NOT in 3D (at least not in Malaysia)

Cinema Online
All blood and gore, and nothing more...
Nudity? I wouldn't know...such sorrow :(
The censors have done their job diligently, bravo!

Would I watch it again? ...Blood is not my cup of tea.

0 Cats and Dogs : The Revenge of Kitty Galore

A heartwarming tale of two of our favourite pets, working together to save the world. Kitty Galore, ex cat spy who's hairless after a mishap, hatched a diabolical plan to take down her comrades and her lifelong enemies, the dogs.

No 'wow' factor here, but enjoyable nonetheless thanks to a fairly safe script. Great Sunday fare, when I just don't feel like I'm up for anything mentally challenging.
