The circus was all sorts of good fun and positive vibes. Hubs and I bought a bag of popcorn and water from the stalls stationed outside the entrance before going into the 4PM show. I asked the usher if we were allowed to snap photos - she replied, "Oh, yes!!" . I was excited to know that this was going to be a laidback thing with fun for everyone in mind. In case you're wondering, I did not abuse the camera privilege!
I was so caught up with the amazing acts I was seeing that video-ing and snapping pics became the last thing on my mind. I did, however, very quickly managed a few just to show off to friends and family. Lol.
It's hard for me to say which act I loved most. I just enjoyed it all. The breathtaking aerial acrobatics, the jaw dropping pole dance, the funny clown, the omg knife routine, the mesmerising diabolo spinning skills, the incredible Russian bar act - it was magical to me. In case you're keen to see the list of performers who made this show a success, I leave the link here for your convenience.
These are the few pics I snapped.
Can you get up from a split using no hands? Yurie Basiul did it flawlessly!

This is part of the knife throwing act. I was cringing in my seat, worried for the lady on the fast spinning wheel! Phew! No one was injured.

Evgenia ended the show with a beautiful rendition of Time to Say Goodbye. Sniff. Wipe eyes.

There you go. That's how we spent our Sunday evening. Early next rain-fresh morning, we were blessed with a rainbow in the sky.

Oh, how I enjoyed my long weekend! Yes, it was four days off for many of us in Malaysia with two public holidays back-to-back.
I want to watch circus, and feel like Kid again. Wish they come here.
ReplyDeleteThe last circus was when my Jay was smaller, we caught the Royal London circus but not sure they are still around or not. Long time they didn't tour Malaysia.
I hope another one comes by soon. I'm itching to go again ..haha!
DeleteHave never been to a circus show..fascinating!
ReplyDeleteOo yes, stunning acrobatics :D
DeleteWow! You enjoyed this good circus performance. I saw their advertisements and knew that I had to miss it....
ReplyDeleteI love to watch circus since I was a kid but not my wife. She would sob and cry buckets of tears seeing how the animals were trained so well. She believed they were whipped and caned to perform for humans to enjoy. When we went to Ocean Park in Hong Kong, I was shocked to see her cry so much on seeing the Dolphins, Whale and Seals performing happily. OMG! That was the last she ever attended. Poor me.
Guess what, TM? This is one circus you can bring her to - there are no acts with animals involved! :)
DeleteI could be wrong but I believe many circuses have banned the use of animals in their shows.
Wow, I haven’t been to a circus in ages! My parents used to take us to one when we were just kids. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSame here, Shirley - it's been too long for me too :D
DeleteI never been to circus! OMG that's really nice experience there!
ReplyDeleteI wish to go one in one day!
They'll be back next year, Emily - with new acts! So I may go again.
DeleteI never been to a circus, paisey.
ReplyDeleteSomething to add to the bucket list, Ez.
DeleteOnce I didn't go to the circus. But since I have a junior, we go there regularly.
ReplyDeleteAww...that's nice and so much fun!
DeleteOh very great show darling
